Oprah's view on life
" The only thing that can free you is the belief that you can be free."

"What I do every morning is I go to my window. I watch the sun come up and I center myself and try to touch the God light that I believe is in all of us. Some people call it prayer, some people call it meditation; I just call it centering up. I get boundless, boundless energy from that. If there happens to be a day when I don't do it, I find myself loose, misdirected. I try to approach every show as if I hadn't done it ever before."

"I'm one of those people who lives for the moment. If you concern yourself with what's going to happen a year from now, or five years from now, you defuse the moment. Whatever comes, comes. For this time I enjoy the ascent."

- Do-the-best-you-can-do-this-day.
- Don't let a bad childhood stand in your way.
- Live up to your potential.
- Reaping what you sow, is the absolute truth.
- Doing the best at this moment puts you in the best place for the next moment.
- The more positive you are about your life, the more positive it will be. The more you complain, the more miserable you will be.
- Do what you want to do, when you want to do it ... and not a moment sooner.
- You can't do it all yourself. Don't be afraid to rely on others to help you accomplish your goals.
- Don't follow in my footsteps. Initiate your own guidance. Often intuition will direct you. If it feels right, it's probably right.
- If you don't give something back when you get, you don't keep.

"I try to move with the flow of life and not to dictate what life should be for me, but just let it flow. I will celebrate either course that life  hands me."

"I am as grounded as anybody you'll ever meet. And very, very God centered. I know who the hell I am!  And you have to be responsible for yourself, you see. You get more by doing what comes naturally than you do by efforting to get things! I move with the flow and take life's cues. Let the universe handle the details."

"I'm everywoman. I make no judgments. I allow my vulnerability to show through. People recognize when you are willing to be raw and truthful, and it's a relief to have somebody not to try to be perfect. They see themselves in me."

Now Oprah's Ten Commandments for a Successful Life:
1. Don't live your life to please other people.
2. Don't depend on externals to help you get ahead.
3. Strive for the greatest possible harmony and compassion in your business and your life.
4. Get rid of all the back stabbers around you.
5. Be nice, not catty.
6. Get rid of your addictions.
7. Surround yourself with people who are as good or better than you are.
8. If you're in it to make money, forget it.
9. Never give up your power to another person.
10. Don't give up.
