Lifestyle changes: Aside from training, a good balance of healthy diet and lifestyle required for great achievements.

Dietary changes: Nutrition is the most important influence on athletic performance while on training. An adequate number of calories, carbohydrate, protein, and even dietary fat and water are necessary for an excellent performance.

Helpful Nutrients: The B-complex vitamins are needed to   unlock the energy from carbohydrates. Chromium and zinc help with blood sugar regulation, energy production, tissue repair, and resistance to cold and infection. Magnesium plays many roles such as, muscle contraction and relaxation, facilitates nerve function, maintains the heartbeat and blood pressure, and helps build muscle. Branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) is needed for the maintenance of muscle tissue and for intense exercise. Carnitine has shown to help muscle soreness. Leucine supplements or protein powders that contain leucine are used by some bodybuilders to promote muscle recovery. Creatine assists in the production of energy and muscle-building processes.

Helpful Herbs: Energizing herbs, such as Asian ginseng, eleuthero (Siberian ginseng), and guarana are helpful during training.
