I have everything anyone could possibly want in life, but I don't feel happy. Laurie, CADear Laurie, It is great that you are satisfied with what you have. It is
good that you are not desiring things on material level.
However, you need to laugh and feel the true happiness from the bottom of
your heart. Here is couple of suggestions. Hopefully it will put you in a
right direction.
One reason of unhappiness is lack of purpose in life. Find something that brings out the joy in you. Then share it, teach it, expand your knowledge, learn more, and finally get a chance to enjoy it. Share your passion to those in need. (example: If you like to do crafts, if you enjoy reading books, or public speaking, or etc. Get involve with the community work, libraries, church, non-profit organizations. Give your service and share what you know with other people). The joy of giving will bring an ultimate happiness.
Understand that Real Dreams come from your
Heart - from your Soul. Your
Passions in life are
Dreams come from. Knowing this and weaving this principle into your life
will make profound changes for you and your loved ones and friends. You
will feel different, more alive, more passionate -more real!
Sometimes lack of happiness is from chemical imbalances in body. Try to take your vitamins and minerals everyday. Stay away from sugar, caffeine, and preservatives in food. Regular exercise is great not only for body, but also helps the balance of chemical release in the body. Find a balance discipline for your mind and body.
